TikTokers were left horrified after witnessing the disastrous aftermath of a woman’s botched lip filler procedure, which resulted in her lips doubling in size.
Jessica Burko, a 28-year-old model and office manager, won a giveaway on Instagram that offered free lip fillers. However, what was supposed to be a treat turned into a rather unfortunate ordeal.
Surprisingly, the experience did not deter her from injectables entirely, as she returned to her regular practitioner for additional lip fillers.
Sharing before and after pictures on TikTok, Jessica’s results garnered over 11.5 million views, leaving viewers appalled.
“I started to panic when I got back to my car and noticed that my lips had doubled in size,” Jessica revealed in an interview with NeedToKnow.co.uk.
“The pain was excruciating, which was unexpected because I knew it shouldn’t be.”
“Immediately after the procedure, my skin turned extremely red. I knew that was definitely not normal,” she added.
“I returned to the place where I had the procedure, and they prescribed a steroid, which unfortunately didn’t alleviate the issue.”
“When I arrived home, my lips resembled the size shown in the video. My face started to swell and sag,” Jessica explained.
In the TikTok video, Jessica, hailing from Los Angeles, USA, displayed a picture of herself prior to the treatment, with numbing cream applied to her lips.
The footage then transitioned to a video of her in the car after the procedure, showcasing her significantly enlarged and red lips.
Jessica also shared a side view of her face, revealing the extent of the swelling.
The video received over 820,000 likes and thousands of comments from shocked users.

Subsequently, Jessica sought treatment from a different beauty parlour to have the fillers dissolved.
“After the dissolution, my lips deflated rapidly, and my face experienced some sagging. However, after a full week, I returned to normal,” she shared.
She later returned to her original injector for further fillers.
“My advice to anyone considering cosmetic procedures is to conduct thorough research. If you’ve found someone you trust and who consistently delivers excellent results, stick with them,” Jessica advised.
“If you plan to seek treatment from someone new, ask questions and ensure they possess the necessary expertise to fulfill your requests or perform the desired work,” she added.
“Don’t rush into a decision just because it seems appealing or there’s a discount available. Do your due diligence and stick with someone you know and trust.”
